Singer

Amelia has an eclectic background that includes jazz, blues, and medieval music, and first started writing for her covers band Blue Tongue in 2000.  TV appearances include  ‘Mornings With Kerri-Anne’, ‘9am With David & Kim’, ‘The Footy Show’ and ‘Australia Day Live 2007’.

She has performed at several awards ceremonies including the Sydney Theatre Awards, the Helpmann Awards, and the Australian Film Institute Awards.

She was a featured and regular guest artist in Kookaburra’s ‘Up Close and Musical’, ‘Trevor Ashley presents Showqueen Sundays’, and the APEC Cultural Gala.  She regularly performs in many charity concerts including ‘Hats Off!’, ‘Light the Night’, ‘World Aids Day Concert’, ‘Voices For Peace, and ‘Sydney Theatre Company Cabaret’.

In June 2011, she was a featured artist at the American Australian Association’s Summer Arts Soiree in New York.

An experienced recording artist, she features on the soundtrack for IMAX film ‘Horses: The Story of Equus’, and has recorded albums with ‘The Renaissance Players’.

She features on the original cast recordings for ‘Priscilla: Queen of the Desert The Muscial’ and ‘LOVEBiTES’.  She has released 2 albums as a solo singer and songwriter – ‘Amelia Cormack: Live @ The Supper Club’ and ‘Amelia Cormack’ – and is a featured soloist and songwriter on ’Showqueen Sessions 1: Live At The Supper Club 2008’.

She was a regular featured artist at ‘Kinky Kabaret’ and ‘Sundays in the Apartment’, and premiered her one-woman show, ‘Love For Sale’, in London to rave reviews.  In 2012, she performed her solo concert to a sold-out crowd at Slide in Sydney.  In 2013 she starred in concerts ‘John Bucchino & Friends’ and ‘The Craig Christie Songbook’, both at the St James Studio in London.

Amelia was a featured singer in ‘Rockers on Broadway’, and a featured soloist in Alpine Theatre Project’s ‘Yuletide Affair X and XII’.  She has sung the American and Australian National Anthems at a number of events, including G’Day USA’s 2014 and 2016 New York Galas, and was a featured soloist in the Lincoln Center’s ‘Broadway Songbook Series’.  Most recently she performed as as singer and instrumentalist in Alpine Theatre Project’s Summer Gala 2016.

She is currently based in New York.
